Diploma BA in Strategic Communications and Minor in Sociology 2020.
I am originally born and raised in Austin, Texas. I come from a place of unacceptance, which lead me to be the advocate and activist I am today.
For the past decade I've focused my advocacy and activism through my stage persona, Seattle Premiere Drag King, Ceasar Hart. My efforts have helped raise awareness, acceptance, and financial support for a better Community.
The goal has always been to be a beacon of light and hope for those who follow behind me, but also to drive support and encouragement for the LGBTQ Community.
Furthermore, seeking to use a combination of my work experience, my college education, and my advocacy and activism from the past decade to be an agent for social change. Making it my life's work to drive change for social justice, acceptance, and tolerance for my LGBTQIA Community.
Last three positions I have held during my time at WSU.
Have held presentations for Dispute Resolution Center, Humanities Washington, Center for Washington Cultural,
For the past decade plus, I've been using my Drag King persona, Ceasar Hart. King of the PNW, Seattle's Premiere Drag King. Producing Drag Show in Grays Harbor called Small Town Big Harts Drag Revue, and Hart's of the Community. These shows have helped advance acceptance for the local LGBTQ community members.

To Whom It May Concern:
I was fortunate enough to supervise Kristi Maldonado from November 2019 – May 2020. Kristi was the chair and lead for our Global Campus Diversity and Equity group for two academic school years.
Kristi brought enthusiasm, passion, and dedication to the Diversity and Equity group. Organizing, promoting, and hosting, book clubs, as well as educational webinars about microaggressions and more. Researching the best books with valuable topics, managing the Facebook page and over all being there to listen and support any and all WSU students.
Not only was Kristi dedicated to engaging and working with WSU Global Campus, but also to their studies and other outreach and community involvement. Kristi is a true inspiration to others, and I will forever appreciate our time together.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Kristi. If the dedication and hard work that was demonstrated during our time together is any indication of future employee performance, Kristi will be an extremely positive addition to your organization. If you need any additional information, feel free to contact me at Andria.donnenwerth@wsu.edu anytime.
Sincerely,
Andria Donnenwerth
To whom it may concern,
I am writing today to highly recommend Kristi for your support. I first met Kristi Maldonado when she became involved in our community through Out & Proud Grays Harbor Coalition. They have been very supportive of the efforts to grow and expand the collective voice of LGBTQ in our community. OPGHC is a nonprofit which has created an environment where by those who identify, and our allies within our community can educate and advocate for a society which is more accepting. I have known Kristi to be a dedicated and capable part of this effort. They have volunteered each year to produce the Drag show for our Grays Harbor Pride Festival. The presence of this show has been remarkable. We have seen people of all ages and beliefs attend and enjoy the shows. Witnessing these shows grow with Kristi’s guidance and enthusiasm has been a pleasure.
They began their academic journey at Grays Harbor College, and has devoted theirself to being a member and secretary to the colleges Gay Straight Alliance. They are now in their Senior year of their Bachelor’s degree. What an honor it has been to watch them grow. They also produced yearly drag shows for the GSA’s scholarship fundraiser with poise and commitment. They have conscientiously brought a community who had never seen a drag show, into a place which offers one every other month at a local venue. This effort has normalized and created incredible tolerance for those who identify, and she has done this with grace and style. We come from a very rural place, which has not always been kind to those who are different. Kristi’s devotion to their town, through action and altruism has made us better, kinder, better place to call home.
I have watched them work diligently to create as safe environment for all those who identify to feel safer. They are a born leader, and offers courage to others who would otherwise not have a voice. They lead with their heart, which is not an easy job. Kristi has the ability to meet people where they are, and offer warm regard without judgement. They have the type of intellect and heart that can change the world….will change the world. They have devoted their-self to raising funds for local nonprofits such as Beyond Survival, Grays Harbor Youth Shelter, Paws, Gentle Paws, and for a performer who was hurt to get the care needed to heal. She raised money for an individual who was needlessly beaten to receive her surgery, and eventually her new smile.
What I admire the most about Kristi is their dedication to their partner and the couples shared children. They are amazing, and they are changing the culture within their family from one of poverty and despair to one of education and hope. They have an incredible mind, one that considers the global picture, investing in her will be investing in us all as she will pay it forward to build a better global village. They are intelligent and on fire for their education, they are currently a member of Phi Theta Kappa for their academic accomplishments. We need more people like Kristi to be the type of transformational leaders in our society. We are living in a scary time, people like Kristi give me hope for our shared future. Please give her your best considerations for support.

To Whom it may concern,
It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Kristi Maldonado. I first met Kristi in December 2013. They were helping their partner at an annual Toy Drive held on Grays Harbor College campus for our student population. I was introduced to them and discovered that they were involved in the drag community in Olympia and Seattle. I was thrilled to find this out as I was the advisor for the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) on our campus. The GSA holds an annual Scholarship Fundraiser in February each year. I inquired if they were interested in helping or possibly being the MC. They were more than willing to participate in helping. I have stayed in close contact with Kristi since the first day we met. Kristi eventually enrolled at Grays Harbor College and immediately got involved with helping other and being a strong advocate for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer + (LGBTQ+) community. The held positions on the Executive Board for the GSA and became an integral part of the Diversity & Equity Center (DEC). As I watched Kristi grow and get involved, I found that I wanted to hire them as my work-study. They were an Office Assistant for the two programs I am the coordinator for that helps assist, and fund low-income students get two-year technical program degrees. The population of students I serve is very diverse and have their own unique narratives. Kristi is self-aware and sensitive to the individuals around them. Being my workstudy Kristi was able to be very involved in the GSA and DEC. Kristi was part of a group of underrepresented students that fought for a more visible DEC space on campus. They were asked to speak to the college President and Executive team on why the center should be moved. The courage it took for a student to self advocate for themselves and others manifested into a new DEC to be relocated and renovated in the middle of student union building. I have also had the pleasure of working with Kristi off campus for a local LGBTQ+ non-profit that brings awareness to the local community and hosts an annual Pride Festival & Drag Show in our area. The area that we live has a predominantly white cis gendered population. Kristi a Latinx non-binary drag show performer. They have worked hard to bring drag to this community as a way of expression and awareness. They made contact with a local business owner and has successfully ran a monthly drag show. As the popularity of the show grew, Kristi used their show as a platform to raise monies for local non-profits. They have raised thousands of dollars to help those in poverty or for those who are historically underrepresented. Kristi is truly one of the kindest and selfless people I know. Award them a scholarship you will not regret investing in a human that will continue to make the world a better place for vulnerable populations.
Sincerely, Jen Gillies
